Frequently asked questions

How do I upload a past paper?
Sign in, go to Upload and drop in any GCSE past paper PDF (up to 25MB). We extract every question automatically and turn it into an interactive practice session.
Why did extraction miss or merge a question?
Extraction is AI-driven and works best on standard awarding-body PDFs. Scanned or heavily compressed papers can be harder to read. If a paper comes out wrong, re-upload it or send us the paper name using the form below and we'll investigate.
What do I get on the Free plan?
Unlimited paper uploads, 15 marked questions per month, basic feedback, and AI flashcards (up to 20 cards per generation, 5 generations per month) with spaced-repetition reviews. See Pricing for the full comparison.
When do my free limits reset?
Free allowances run on a rolling monthly cycle tied to your account, and the exact reset date is shown in-app whenever you hit a limit.
How do I upgrade, and what changes?
Choose Premium Monthly (£9.99/month) or Premium Annual (£89.99/year) from the Pricing page or Settings → Billing. Payment goes through Stripe Checkout, and Premium unlocks the moment the payment confirms: unlimited AI marking, model answers, staged hints, unlimited flashcard generations, weak-topic detection and advanced analytics.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Billing and cancel. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're never charged again after that. Premium Annual renews yearly, so cancelling stops the next year's charge.
Is my card safe?
Yes. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers and we never store them.
Is my revision data kept when the site updates?
Yes. Your account, uploaded papers, results, streaks, flashcards and analytics are stored permanently in our database and are unaffected by site deployments.
I can't sign in with Google.
Make sure pop-ups aren't blocked and that you're using the same Google account you signed up with. If you originally signed up with an email and password, use that method instead — then email us and we can help link them.
How do I reset my password?
Password resets are temporarily unavailable. Email us at support@examaitutor.com and we'll help you get back into your account.
How do I delete my account and data?
Settings has a delete option that permanently removes your papers, answers, flashcards and progress. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
Can I trust the AI marks?
Treat them as a strong revision guide, not an official grade. Marking follows GCSE mark schemes closely, but always double-check important answers against the official mark scheme.
